Made-to-Measure Glass Doors in Lloret de Mar

We make toughened glass doors in 8, 10 and 12 mm for homes, shops and offices. The glass is machined in the workshop with the exact holes and cut-outs each piece of hardware needs before it is toughened, because toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards: either it comes out right first time, or it does not come out at all.

At home, the most requested type is the slider on an exposed black steel track, which saves the swing space of a hinged door and works very well separating kitchens, studies and dressing rooms. Next comes the pocket slider hidden inside the wall, which is more discreet, and the frameless hinged door on floor and ceiling pivots — the cleanest answer when the door should go unnoticed.

For retail and hospitality we fit toughened glass entrance doors with an adjustable floor spring, a stainless U-pull handle and either a keyed lock or panic hardware where occupancy demands it. In premises open to the public the glass must carry visible manifestation at two heights: we resolve it with vinyl, screen printing or acid etching, which is also an opportunity to put your brand on the door.

Frequently asked questions

A 10 mm toughened leaf cuts conversation noise well, but not an extractor hood running flat out. If insulation is your priority the answer is an acoustic laminated leaf with a perimeter seal in the frame; we build it, but it is no longer a frameless door.

No. Toughening locks internal stresses into the glass and any later drilling shatters it. That is why we fix the exact positions of handles, lock and hinges before manufacturing. If you want to change handles later, some models clamp onto the existing hole.

At 10 mm we comfortably reach 100-110 cm per leaf. Above that we move to 12 mm and review the hardware, because weight climbs fast: 12 mm glass weighs around 30 kg per square metre.

Budget systems do. We fit polyurethane-banded rollers and soft-close dampers at both ends, which is what makes a slider feel expensive. It is included, not an extra.

Yes, and we normally work outside trading hours so business is not interrupted. If it is an entrance door, we leave the opening protected and usable between removal and installation.
