Quotes and lead times
WhatsApp is fastest. Send a photo of the space and rough measurements and we'll give you guidance the same day. If it fits, we arrange the measuring visit, which is free, and within 24 hours you have a fixed written quote.
It is fixed. What appears in the quote is what gets invoiced. If an unforeseen technical issue appears during installation that we did not spot when measuring, we absorb it: that is what the measuring visit is for.
Kitchen splashbacks and mirrors, 7 to 12 working days. Made-to-measure screens, 10 to 15. Glass balustrades, 2 to 3 weeks. Structural glass stairs and floors, 3 to 6 weeks, because the laminate goes into an autoclave. The specific date is written into the quote.
Yes, as with all bespoke manufacturing. The glass is made to your dimensions and cannot be resold, so we work with a deposit on acceptance and the balance on delivery. The percentage is stated in the quote.
Materials and safety
Toughened glass has been through a kiln that makes it four or five times stronger; if it breaks it shatters into small pieces with no cutting edges. Laminated glass is two or more panes bonded with an interlayer; if it breaks the pieces stay bonded and the panel does not fall. That is why toughened glass goes into screens and doors, and laminated glass wherever there is a fall risk: balustrades, walk-on floors and roofs.
In some positions yes, and we'll tell you. In others no: where regulations require safety glass — balustrades, commercial doors, glass down to floor level in public premises — we do not downgrade the specification even if the client asks. That is not commercial rigidity, it is legal and civil liability.
It is a factory-applied nanotechnology treatment that seals the glass's micropores so water runs off instead of drying on it. It does not eliminate limescale entirely, but it greatly reduces build-up and means one pass cleans it. It is included as standard on all our shower screens.
Standard stainless (AISI 304) does end up pitting on the seafront or in chlorinated pool air. That is why we use marine-grade AISI 316 in those positions. It is a small premium that saves replacing hardware after two years.
Permits and regulations
Usually yes, on two fronts: the residents' community, because an enclosure alters the façade, and the town hall, which normally requires prior notification or a minor-works licence. Many coastal buildings have already approved a standard design: tell us which and we build to match.
For a screen, a mirror or a kitchen splashback, nothing is needed. For a non-structural interior partition, most municipalities only require prior notification and often not even that.
Spain's building code requires 90 cm where the level difference is under 6 metres and 110 cm where it is greater. It must also have no climbable elements and no gaps a 10 cm sphere could pass through. Glass satisfies all three conditions naturally.
After installation
Two years on installation and hardware, plus the manufacturer's guarantee on the glass and the profile system. If hardware falls out of alignment or a door starts to catch, we come back and adjust it at no charge.
Water, neutral soap and a rubber squeegee. Avoid abrasive cleaners, metal scourers and anything containing ammonia or strong acid, which attack the anti-limescale treatment and the seals. On mirrors, never spray directly onto the glass: liquid creeps in at the edge and attacks the rear lacquer.
Accidental glass breakage is included in virtually every home and business policy, usually with no excess. We give you a quote and invoice with whatever breakdown your insurer requires.
