Glass Kitchen Splashbacks in Lloret de Mar

A lacquered glass splashback is the best ratio of visual impact to building disruption available in a kitchen. It goes straight over the tiling you already have, with nothing cut out, in a single morning. The result is a continuous, seamless, waterproof surface that bounces light back into the rest of the room.

We use 6 mm toughened glass back-lacquered with kiln-fired paint, which is what guarantees the colour will not degrade from hob heat or daily cleaning. You can pick any RAL colour, metallic finishes, low-iron extra-clear glass for pure whites (standard glass gives pale colours a slight green cast) or full-colour digital printing if you want an image or texture.

We measure on site with a template, marking the exact position of sockets, extractor, taps and out-of-square corners — because no kitchen has two walls at a true 90 degrees. Socket cut-outs are made in the workshop before toughening and finished with a trim ring. The panel is bonded with a glass-specific construction adhesive and neutral-cure silicone around the perimeter, which does not yellow.

Yes. Toughened glass withstands thermal shock of around 200 ºC differential, far more than the wall behind a hob ever reaches. In gas kitchens with burners very close to the wall we leave a 5 cm minimum gap or move to thicker glass.

Yes, and that is the norm. We make a card template of the actual opening before manufacturing, so the glass comes out at the same angle as the wall. What cannot be corrected is a bowed wall: if the deviation exceeds about 5 mm it needs levelling first.

Toughened glass cannot be drilled afterwards. That is why we insist on fixing every position on the template. If you anticipate changes, say so and we will look at splitting the panel in two with a disguised joint.

Seven to twelve working days. Fitting itself takes one to two hours in a standard kitchen.

Yes, and it works very well cladding the basin area or even a whole shower enclosure. The no-grout advantage matters even more there, because mould has nowhere to grow.
